Your hair looks amazing and you look adorable!! This post hit a nerve for me. I used to argue with a girlfriend that curly hair was better than straight hair (she had fabulous curly hair that she chemically straightened). Then, post chemo, my hair came in curly. It was a tangle of stuff to manage. No more grabbing a slice and making a part. Now it was product, coaxing, and combs to look half-way decent. I called her in frustration one moment and said, ‘you win, curly hair is too hard to manage!’ I am so happy to be back in the land of straight, no muss, no fuss hair😉🏊‍♀️❤️

Thanks Lessly ☺️! I should add that my experience of curly hair is still limited and as it gets longer it definitely gets harder to comb... I just have to pluck up the courage to have a cut (and potentially chop off all of those little ringlets 🫣)

You speak my experience so very clearly. I’m still in the exiting new curl phase and hope it lasts. It’s truly a delightful “prize” for surviving chemo and I want to keep it as long as possible. I really appreciate and enjoyed your monologue.

Thanks Mandy, I'm so pleased you can relate to the writing (though obviously wish you hadn't had to go through it too!)

I was exactly the same, it took 4 years for the curl to drop, straight hair is so much easier. It was the in between stage that was tough, not corkscrews and more than waves. Anyway enjoy your hair and glad you are well. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Bel, I agree, straight hair is easier but curls are still fabulous!

Bonnie could relate to others’ fascination with curls as, most of her life, people have commented on or touched it. My friend’s hair went straight when she got pregnant, and has now regained them in menopause - for her, a positive amongst all the strain of this stage of life. Lovely to hear you and read you, sending love xxx
